NA6 Horn relay

Postby mazdaz » Thu Aug 01, 2013 7:01 pm

what is it with horns lately...anyway.

NA6 Horn doesnt work factory momo

Checked horn button works ok
Checked connection at horn ok
Can here relay clicking under bonnet LA something.

Brake lights work so fuse is good.

If I check for 12v at the horn with the button pressed does that mean the horn is borked, given that the relay is clicking or is it the earth......which looks ok?

just check the horn as a stand alone ie it has 2 terminals- if you attach a + on one and an earth on the other you will find out if the horn operates.

In my NA6 I found I had a cut wire under the left head light.

This was after I checked the relay, horn and everything else. Don't know how it got cut.
