Now I'm back on my feet, I've got some time booked to get the tension cables fit which I'll hopefully get done later in the week. Before then I've investigated further, and have discovered the passenger side has indeed snapped. One problem diagnosed. I've also purchased some new door seals on the drivers side which seem to give a more snug fit, but the water is still coming in. I've noticed the rail seems to collect water in between the seal and then some drips make their way out where the middle and rear seals meet. However the most water is coming in near the front quarter window...

Looking at the door seal from this angle I note the seal has lost the very tip of the corner, and also note how high the window is sitting. Does anyone have a shot of their window and seal in this area, as I am starting to wonder if the window has been raised too high which has caused damage to the seal?

Looking at how the seal is loosely positioned on the inside (and where a lot of water collects) I'm thinking maybe a new door/window seal is in order too if I can't get this butted up tightly.

Well after some close observation during the odd storm we've had it seems the leak has disappeared. Still not sure if it was failing at the seals, which have been replaced, at the roof, which has had new tension cables or the blocked drainage hole. Quite possibly all three played a factor, but looking good so far.

Damn, I had a set of cables on a softop frame I bought a while ago, unfortunately I cut the cables when I cut up the frame.

If I hadn't cut them up I would have happily donated them.

my windows raises high like yours.
If they were any lower there'd be no meaningful seal between the window edge and the rubber weather strip.
You can adjust the height the window will rise to easily though, if you run into trouble later on.

Glad to hear the problem has cleared up
