I wouldn't go do that, hats taste terrible. I've eaten my share in life. :P

I just remembered because AAMI's offices are across the road from where I work, and a friend who worked there recently transferred to Suncorp.

I wouldn't insure a skate board with that bunch of crooks.

I had someone run into the door of my old ute, other party at fault, other insurance company Suncorp. I took the ute to my preferred repairer and got a quote, took it to NRMA to be assessed, they got the cheapest quote from their repairer using only photos taken by NRMA. I was then told that NRMA would only pay up to the value of their quote and I had to fork over the difference to my preferred repairer if I went that way. NRMA wouldn't even be paying for the repairs as the other party was at fault so the dollars come from Suncorp.

I now look very carefully at how repairs are handled and a genuine choice of repairer option is important to me, nit the dodgy scheme that NRMA uses. Also look out for the fun trap they have for valuing your car if the worst ever happens, you may noy get paid what you think you will, the PDS will show that they may pay the lessor of the market value or agreed value.....
