:D Haha Midori, I couldnt miss this one mate. I thought i should mention that on my last vist to the valley (Mid May) part of Broke Rd was under roadworks meaning unsealed road, very smooth but watered down to prevent dust so lots of mud for that WRC look.

Trev, Hit me up on FB to arrange a meeting place so we can convoy to McGraths Hill in the morning. Any other southies please do the same.

Hey Gary, where on the Broke Road was the roadworks :?: If I know where the roadworks are I can try to find an alternate route to avoid the unsealed section  Don't want Wassup having to pull out

Thanks Gary for the heads up :) Can you see the roadworks in progress from the intersection of Hermitage & Broke Roads :?:

We can change the route to avoid that section by turning off Broke Road to head north up Hermitage Road to do a turn right into Deaseys Road, then right into MacDonald Road and right again into Broke Road for HVG. :D

According to Google Maps all those roads are sealed  but then again the satellite view has no roadworks on Broke Road :?

No problem mate, Anything to help out. You cannot see the road works from that intersection, Broke road has been under construction for a while and that section of road was sealed this time last year.

Should we call someone local (council/hotel/wineary) to confirm if the road works are still there? I'm thinking they may have moved it since then.

Gary,
Could you make some inquiries of the local cafes, business and/or council at your earliest convenience and let me know the current status of the roadworks assuming we cannot see them from the Broke & Hermitage Road intersection :?: .

Midori, I have inquired about the road works on Broke Rd in the Hunter Valley. I work fast

I called the Mercure Resort in the Hunter Valley Gardens.. The young lady that answered my call had no idea where Broke Rd was located
I called the Harrigan's Irish Pub..They assured me that there are roadworks after Hermitage Rd.
I called the council telling them that i would like to take my family on a trip..They directed me here http://www.cessnock.nsw.gov.au/roads/works/construction where i found this http://www.cessnock.nsw.gov.au/resource ... %20web.pdf

The PDF clearly states that after Hermitage Rd there are road works in progress untill 2014. I think we will be fine if we take a left at Hermitage Rd 8)

If i can be of further assistance please don't hesitate to ask

I'm keen to do this but will have to see how I am for sleep and free time after FoSC the day before. Tentative RSVP for me.

Why does this have to fall on my GF's B'day!

It would of been a perfect chance to run in my newly installed coilovers as well. :|
