Cheers, The Pirate.

B is shown with xx laps on Natsoft, the highest number of laps for the day was only 46. He must have crashed out right in the last session I guess?

Good to hear that he's ok.

jackmack wrote:Thank you one and all for a great day at Lakeside. My first track event and to say the least I do still have a grin from ear to ear on my face. The suggestions and assistance shown to me by members on the day was just amazing. Without the assistance and positive communication my day would not have been nearly as exciting. Also, so well organised by those in charge...thank you.

The wet track did stop me after my 5th race after I stepped her out twice, but nevertheless it was a sensational learning curve for me. Getting the lines right, feeling and understanding the various cambers, aiming for the correct Apex in each corner and "watching the mirrors" all took its toll and I slept very well dreaming of the next event at QR.

My best times were 1.14 in the dry and 1.21 in the wet. The car is very capable and much more capable than me, so there is still a lot of room for improvement. Before any more mods I will be concentrating on slowly improving my corners.

Looking for the photos taken on the day by the pro photographer...can anyone advise what website to look on?

Cheers

It was great to have you there jackmack, I could tell just by looking that you and Michael had a fantastic day and I was so impressed with your times as well!! I'm hoping to be at BP South for coffee Saturday morning, right now not 100% with minor surgery this afternoon and I HATE needles but so far i'm looking positive!!

I stopped on the way home for coffee and some KFC fries this afternoon, maybe I should have said 'hold the salt'!! It was a little awkward with the anesthetic not having worn off my lip

Pirate and Trackphotos,
I didnt actually announce his name, as he is not on this forum and I chose not to advertise his identity.
Same reason I havent posted photos of the wreck.
Those that were in attendance at the end of the day and know him, know who it was, without compromising his privacy here thanks.

After watching Thomas have that lose where he did, I hope he went and changed after that!!

Fair enough. You can't edit posts on this forum can you?

Dave has put his photos up here: http://www.trackphotos.com.au/p294349790
And Chris has put a small collection up here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set ... 480&type=1 If you want to see more photos of your car, send him an email at chris@sirck.com.au, or send him a message on the Sirck facebook page.

Trackphotos

You can, but the time limit is very short, after you have posted look at the top of the post and the word 'edit' appears, I'm not sure how long it stays but I think only about 30 mins - MINX can organise the removal of the post, I was lucky enough to catch mine [first name only] within a couple of minutes only and delete the relevant line

I saw that white NA today at Automotive Plus, holy hell the guy was lucky!

Why the secrecy around the damaged car? Is that what the owner/driver requested? Was it an MX5?

If it happened to me I'd like it kept off the forum. The person concerned doesn't want it all over the forum either - he's unhappy enough.

Fair enough. Always a shame to see someone wreck their machine. Lakeside is certainly the place for it though.

Should have run that video about 2 seconds longer. I was next over the blind crest and was wondering when the spin was going to end! You would have seen me drive by with eyes like dinner plates! I am glad I had dropped back a bit, otherwise it could have been really ugly.
