So true! Test drive is available for you anytime with 2 proviso's

1. Not when it's raining!!
2. Not on the track!!

You learn nothing about them driving around the block with a Salesperson!!

Take a ride in the NA and you WILL be hooked, trust me haha
Man I love that car :)

Thanks guys. I reckon she needs a good going over cosmetically. Will be touching up some of the paint and replacing the seats and harnesses shortly.

Its great to see everyone having a blast and driving to there own limits.
There certainly seems to be some friendly competition amongst mates with similar cars, trying to eak out ways to beat each others times.
I know my target. CR in the silver SP this year is consistently doing 62s and has no real car advantage over me, so it is purely down to driver skill level. If want to catch him i have to get more consistent in 63s, then try to find the shortcut on the track he is taking to get that extra second
And I have to try and stay in front of JG in the supercharged beast as we are only one point apart.
Close competition this year - great to see.

PS for those that were there in the afternoon for the last red flag of the day, the driver is fine, no injuries.
Losing the tail in the wet at the kink and ending up sideways into the tyres was pretty scary.
Car is very sad. He had seat, harness and donut. Wife is not happy! :P

Thank you one and all for a great day at Lakeside. My first track event and to say the least I do still have a grin from ear to ear on my face. The suggestions and assistance shown to me by members on the day was just amazing. Without the assistance and positive communication my day would not have been nearly as exciting. Also, so well organised by those in charge...thank you.

The wet track did stop me after my 5th race after I stepped her out twice, but nevertheless it was a sensational learning curve for me. Getting the lines right, feeling and understanding the various cambers, aiming for the correct Apex in each corner and "watching the mirrors" all took its toll and I slept very well dreaming of the next event at QR.

My best times were 1.14 in the dry and 1.21 in the wet. The car is very capable and much more capable than me, so there is still a lot of room for improvement. Before any more mods I will be concentrating on slowly improving my corners.

Looking for the photos taken on the day by the pro photographer...can anyone advise what website to look on?

Cheers
JACKMACK

Trackphotos is down at the moment, not sure why. I contribute, Dave operates, so I'll get onto him about it.

When it's back up there should be a gallery by David Clarke, he was out there shooting for a while. Also Chris Howard from Sirck was out there borrowing all my gear for the day, he has a Page on Facebook, he will be putting a gallery up and anyone who wants to see more of their car can message him on there. His Page is here:https://m.facebook.com/Sirck.DesignsandImages?refid=0

Okies Trackphotos is back up, but Dave still hasn't put the gallery up. I'll post a direct link to it when it goes up.

Minx, thanks for the post RE: B. Glad he is fine. Motorsport can be fickle; B wrecks, Thomas, (white Celica), drives away.
Cheers, The Pirate.
