What a great day I wasn't even on track and I still had fun.

Happy to finally meet a lot of the members and put faces to names, thanks to Zero00 for introducing me to everyone

Always happy to lend a hand where I can Roger, more then happy too. I had a great couple of days, good to have a laugh every now and then.

I must say these club track events a really organised well and all the participants are on time and ready lined up in the pits before each of there groups are due to be out on track, really not much time wasted at all.

Well done guys cant wait to be at the next one

As always a fantastic MX-5 Club of Queensland Trackday!

Thanks to all who made it happen! :beer:

Shame the weather put a bit of a dampener on those who were working hard on PB's. I was just glad to get some seat time at Lakeside after some 4 years away from the track.

Here's a vid of my first session of the day.....it's such a technical track.

Had a quick play with RaceRender, speed overlay etc. Pretty nifty, can tell I was still lifting coming onto the straight, which I don't recall doing. Would've gotten into the 1:09s if I had kept it flat. Same lap video I linked before, but with the overlay, and properly embedded this time.

Thanks for another great day guys.

Dad managed yet another PB of 1.04.84 this time. He did a few laps in the high 4's, so he was stoked. Once the rain started after lunch we bailed. No wet weather tyres sadly.

Great also to meet up 'Silvia' and also Kathy [hope I spelt right!] was good to put a face to a name and so pleased you had a great time!! Hope to catch up on soe of the Club runs at some stage and share a coffee/tea! [I'm old!!]

Well done to dad Cal!! I think the track conditions in the morning were nothing short of PERFECT!! Lots of PB's I heard, missed mine by 0.28 secs, if only one more run before lunch but that's life!!

To answer that question asked yesterday about the NA, NB and 86, it's just great to go into the garage and have the choice of THREE cars where everyone has it's own features and all of them a pleasure to drive!! I just need some suspension set-up data of aligning the NA, gets a little heavy in corners even though power steering but straight lining it's perfect! Funny, it still corners as fast as the NB

So true! Test drive is available for you anytime with 2 proviso's

1. Not when it's raining!!
2. Not on the track!!

You learn nothing about them driving around the block with a Salesperson!!
