The red EVO unfortunately cannot make it this time. (If that's the EVO you're referring to)

Maybe you should pack the umbrella Roger, to ward off any rain, surely it wouldn't come if it knew you were prepared for it!

Tried ringing the Suncorp number and they reopen at 7am in the morning (Has that recently changed? I seem recall it was 8.30 or something)

Anyway will try in the morning otherwise it might just be a day of watching for me :(

Ring Suncorp 9.00am and have them email to you and sighting on a phone is sufficient - at worst maybe miss one run. If your phone doesnt accept emails there will be someone there who has one that does

Akmost ready, leaving home 6.15am for coffee at the BP and get to the track around 7.00am to set up. Weather looking good here so far and radar looks OK

Mick's black EVO I was referring to but who knows! We could end up with a few as well - all good!

I like Zero00's optimism. "it will be alright tomorrow". Spot on mate!

Rain predicted for today throughout Wednesday. I lived 10 minutes from Lakeside and looking out the windows now, it is absolute sunshine.

Have fun on the track.

On the way to the track my car started blowing a fair amount of oil smoke under vacuum - after turning home and looking into the problem, turned out to be a faulty PCV, and I've now got an intake with a fair amount of oil inside... not good. Replaced the PCV and it no longer smokes anywhere near as much, but I still need to clean out the intake.

The simplest of things that let you down!

Quickest lap and minor fails. Getting lines wrong entering and exiting Karussel, and through Hungry I haven't found the right line yet either.

Great day despite not that many runs due to some mystery noises from under the car. I thought one of my u-beaut tyres was distintegrating. Thankfully not.

Blitzed my PB so I am chuffed.

Thanks to Mark, Chris, Wendy and flaggies for giving us another great day.

Thanks to Mark and all organisers once again... a great day despite the weather!

Another great day made so good by so many great people!

While the weather favoured us for the morning session it turned feral after lunch but I didn't hear anyone complaining!! I ended up with seven [7] runs and could have 9+. Also great to see so many new MX5 drivers having their first run, especially 'jackmack' I'm sure that smile will be there for a few days! Well done John

Also well done to Stuart in his Nissan and Mick in the Black EVO for great runs, not much we can do about the weather guys!

Special thanks to Rhys [Speed Freak] for his assistance both yesterday and today with the car, cleaning the 6UL's, helping pack and unpack the car, all the things that become quite difficult with a bad back - appreciated very much mate and hope you had a great few days

Huge thanks to Mark, Chris & Wendy our starters and Doug from QR on an excellent job all round as usual! Your services are so much appreciated

Thanks from me to Neil & Andrew for letting me tag behind in run 3 and almost pick up a PB, missed by 0:29 secs!! Still, next time!

Special thanks to Dave [86-WTF] from the 86/BRZ Club for coming along and assisting as a marshall at 'Hungry Corner' appreciated very much Dave

Next meet is QR on Monday 9 September - half day meet
