949 Endlinks on rear sway

949 Endlinks on rear sway
I currently have 949 recent end links all round on my car. I was inspecting my rear suspension and noticed the rear endlinks were easily movable by hand, and the spherical bearings were quite worn
Would that mean the links need replacing?

I'm not hugely in the know about these things, but I'm guessing just the Bush needs doing assuming the Bush can be replaced separately from everything else.

Emilio sell spares of all the end link parts separately.
You could probably just replace the rose joints.

correct. the rose joint/rod end is what you need if the ball and bearing has movement and makes bumps.

Yeah, pretty much the bearings are just freely rotating, No actual resistance or smoothness in the bearing
These bearings have to be lubricated frequently I presume? What should I use once I replace the ends, and what's the typical life of the ends?

Rose Joints generally don't last forever in a road application with the amount of movement and vibration they go through and the amount of contamination they come in to contact with. Cheap ones are cheap and don't last long at all.
Buy ones that are PTFE lined and DO NOT LUBRICATE them. Lubrication attracts dirt in to the joint and stops the PTFE from self lubricating the joint. They will still wear out eventually.
Non-PTFE lined ones are essentially metal on metal but there is no lubricant you can use that would ensure a lubricating film is retained in the joint under load. Any lubricant you do add will again attract dirt in to the joint.

Take one of your endlinks to a race shop, bearing shop or local aircraft parts suppliers and get them to match them up. Just ask for ones with PTFE / Teflon lined joints.
I should think you can buy them online easy enough to, you will need to know the specs of the existing ones though.

Pretty sure the 949 originals are ptfe lined.

how long have your current endlinks lasted? i have the old skool whiteline ones, and they have lasted over 18months/20,000km.
