My mx5 keeps stalling?
Hi i have a 1990 Eunos Roadster and every so often it will stall, i have never caught it stall when just idling but i've noticed it the most when i am slowing down (clutch in or in neutral) or have just stopped, i think it only happens once it has warmed up but it could have happened once before it reached running temp. what should i do?

It's not a dip in the idle as such and i don't notice this dip at all, it's either fine or stalls it has 150,000 and 3 previous owners and since it never goes below 800~ im guessing this may have been addressed as an issue already?

93_Clubman is right, try re-seting the base idle.
Also, grab a can of carby cleaner and clean your throttle body, cold start valve, isc valve, and if you can be bothered the whole intake manifold.

Okay thanks, I have later had a deeper look into google and found out this isn't a too uncommon problem, it had it's service not 2 days ago and im not sure if it did or did not do this before the service but ill open the whole intake and have a good clean of it

It's great that you've just had the car serviced immediately after buying it. NA6s are 20 or more years old now, & servicing sometimes gets overlooked after the purchase & the big spend it involves. Some have full service histories, & that's great, but some don't even have recent service histories. So for a 20 or more year old car it can be useful to baseline (full) service it so that you have a known starting point if you later have to diagnose an issue. Of course, additional benefits are sorting existing issues & improving reliability.

If you get the chance and have the ability, good to run a quick code check too. See what's coming up as an error etc.
A check up never hurts. Get the problem before it gets you in the middle of the road!
