.. got an infringement notice cos i parked in a No Standing zone (happened last week during the Vic Meet-up @ Yarraville).
I was prolly parked there not more than 15 mins till I realised and re-parked.. $141 /grumble :roll:

8:55pm to be exact. would've preferred if they'd stuck on the infringement notice on my windscreen on the same night itself instead of sending me a nice little letter bearing the fine a week later. i'm surprised there are council ppl working late at night. oh well, it's still my fault.. just gotta be more careful then.

Hmm.. this is coming out my MX5 Parts UK fund I guess..haha!

That looks good nanotech! I'd considered going the luxo-feel but then shifted to track focus. Now that I've been nabbed speeding in the MX5 a 4th time...I'm thinking of going track dedicated :frown:

Haha! You know what...I've not had the same issue in the Integra (touch wood!). With the MX5, it's just so easy to enjoy the drive that you creep over the limit.

That said, I didn't realise the street was a 50 zone...I've been driving down it for the past couple of years assuming it was a 60 zone and got busted today.

Cleaned my engine bay!

Any tips on how to clean the cam/rocker cover? I tried degreaser and scrubbed but there was not too much of a difference.

Tomorrow's task, pull out the seats and completely clean and condition the carpet and leather interior.

with regards to engine cleaning

in my old off road cycling days, I used 1/3 truck wash and 2/3 water in a common squirt bottle

I have used this formula on all my cars since ive owned a car and it brings it out spotless... Im sure some sydneysiders can back me up here.

spray the mix on, let it sit for 5 mins, then start the car and get some water onto it (with the A/C running)

Brings the engine bay up a treat....ill grab some pics when the sun is up

Purchased a couple of months ago. It is a late 91 Eunos Roadster, brought back from Japan by the original owner, a school teacher from NSW. Engineered for use in Australia (QLD specifically).

Replaced 'brown' radiator (after reading so many posts about what this colour means. No it's not just colour coded to the BRG and tan scheme of your car!)

with 52mm aluminium

Replaced crappy Pioneer head with a newer crappy(?) Pioneer head which has bluetooth, SD card reader etc.
Replaced front speakers with new 51/2, and the headrest speakers with some outdoor speakers that fit and sound good. Sound is now coming from 'somewhere' when sitting in the car. I guess this is a good thing, as no one particular sound source dominates.
Currently have the console out to replace both rubber boots on gearshift, and clean the window controls.
Will be keeping this car as std as possible, as I like it as is.
