NA soft and hard tops

So I am buying a 1990 Eunos Roadster soon (if the deal goes through) and currently it has only the soft top. The vinyl itself is in good condition but it needs a new plastic rear window. I'm in brisbane, does anyone know good people to have this done? Or buy the parts to fix it?

Also I would love to have a hard roof for insulation and security so again suggestions on where in brisbane to look/ buy

Lastly being new to mx5's I don't know much so who and where are the reputable mx5 part shops ?

A auto trimmer should be able to replace the rear window. The other option is to get a complete soft top from one of the later model MX-5s (1998-2004) as these have glass rear windows.

With regards to the hardtop. IMHO I wouldn't bother. You are looking at $1000+ for one in good condition and they don't really add that much extra security. The best form of security is to ensure that you don't leave anything of value in the cabin. Lock anything of value in the boot, or if it is small enough, in the glove box.

The glass is heavier, how much heavier I cannot say.

I strongly suggest you do not replace the "skin" yourself.
Buy a better-condition second hand complete top, with frame, and your stress organ will thank you for it
