Re: MEANMX2
It's started already. My newest addition
It has also been raised temporarily for RWC purposes, although it still looks low in this pic.
It is currently sitting at the mechanics having the gearbox removed to replace the rear main seal and then it will be transferred over to my name and then the MEANMX plates will live again.
This is the other new addition to my family. A Skoda Octavia VRS (Golf GTI Wagon).
It's a great car and perfect for picking up new mx5 bits and pieces like this for instance.
Fun times ahead.

Great to see you back, it will be good to see those plates back on an MX again. Can't wait to see what you do with this one.

Re: MEANMX2
A few changes have happened. The yellowspeeds are in . I've also tinted the taillights, reflectors and indicators. MEANMX is also back .
Excuse the dirty car . I've also had the tinted windows redone as the previous job was really shoddy.
The yellow speeds are great although apparently on some nb's you have to modify the upper control arm in order for the collar to be able to get past it. I wasn't told about this beforehand. I'm still playing around with settings so it isn't perfect yet. I've decided I like the current height but the inner guard liner doesn't so I also have a guard roller on it's way and then I can fine tune it.
The tint used on the lights is fairly light as well but enough to make it look blacker which is the final look I'm going for. Looking at seats next and then a proper roll bar so stay tuned.

Re: MEANMX2
Whoa shuey, terrible looking? It's not that bad looking, it's just a little unsafe is all. Roll bar will be coming though. I found out about the upper control arm by fitting it and going wtf.
Thanks for the comment Lee. That's the look I am eventually going for. The taillight tint is just a film that goes over the top. Easily reversible, just the way I like it

Sorry I didn't see this earlier. No you can't bluetooth the apps and you need a special cable to make it work. It is an awesome stereo though and I am particularly in love with the digital radio.

Re: MEANMX2
Small update time. I bought a guard roller because I was getting slight guard liner rubbing and I wanted to be noise free no matter what I was doing or payload in my car. The actual guard rolling was fairly pain free although I can't say the same about the liner. It was my hope that I would be able to keep the liner in place but after much time of myself and FFG trying to soften and remould the liner it just didn't work. Out they go! The car isn't a DD anyway. The following pics are of my cars final resting height.
I will do a little bit more suspension setup and testing before I get a wheel alignment. Currently I am on 16 from soft front and 12 from soft rear on the yellowspeeds and am pretty happy with it but want more seat time.
The biggest problem with rolling the guards though is the slight pull they gave as well so my wheels are looking a bit sunken.
Going to start looking for some new wheels now as well.
Also for those interested parties, I do not recommend the tint film I have used as it is starting to try and free itself from the taillight. More coming soon.

Re: MEANMX2
Looks great, I need my guards rolled before I can do any more motorsport but been too nervous to do it myself.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

I'd be looking at your guard liners first
