Hey guys,
I'm running a turbo NA6 I slapped together, and just wondered if many of you have suffered a broken throttle body on your NA6?
I've now broken 2 and just fitted my last spare so am wondering if it's a common thing and if there's any tricks to stop them breaking...?
Mine are snapping the shaft on one of the bolt joins in the middle of the butterfly.
Cheers, George.

Hahaha surely you didn't think it was tooooo much power? I think another 40-50 kw and we're looking pretty good!

Re: Broken Throttle Bodies on NA6..?
Its kind of common, as in, it happens. Which is too common for a throttle failure.
the one Ive seen on a 1.6 involved an incorrectly adjusted throttle pedal stop, which I bet is very very common.
Full throttle max's the cable and yanks on the TB.

Yeah I think I'll look at the stop points etc Dann, cheers for the tip!
I broke the last one the day before Cooma, and this one the day before our local Hillclimb! Glad I ironed out the bugs first.. (other than that bloody alternator!)

Re: Broken Throttle Bodies on NA6..?
I LIKE that throttle body. Think i'll buy one as a spare for when this one breaks!
(in saying that i've adjusted my pedal stop and accounted for the amount of flex in the mount so she should be alright now I HOPE..

Re: Broken Throttle Bodies on NA6..?
So am I right in thinking the 1.8 Shunk2 Throttle Body won't fit on an NA6 intake manifold..?
I'm at the point of considering making my own manifold, this might be the turning point..
Anyone noticing any decent gains from a nice plenum similar to what the skyline fags etc put on theirs?
