The chosen one - How I got to Number #10

This is the story of how I got to car number 10.

1. 1991 Nissan Pulsar (N13) - first car. Wanted something newer. Sold.

2. 1991 Nissan Pulsar (N14) - 2nd car, big stereo, 18's. Wanted a turbo. Sold.

3. 1998 Nissan 200sx (S14) - 3rd car, bigger stereo, exhaust. Too big. Sold.

4. 2003 Renault Clio Sport - 4th car, fell apart after 100,000kms. Sold.

5. 1990 Mazda MX5. 1998 NB motor, coilovers, leather seats, power steering, no aircon.

I was in love.

Until a BMW X5 driver rear ended me.

Write off.

6. 2000 Mazda MX5. HID's, short shift kit, sound system. incredible car. wanted more power, sold to parents (they still have it).

7. 2003 Mazda 3 SP23 sedan. Auto. 17" wheels. Boring! Sold.

8. 1999 RX7 (Giant MX5).T04 single turbo conversion (350hp). Work wheels, Pirelli p zero tyres, HKS exhuast.

Cost me thousands per month in maitenance. Sold.

9. 2006 Mazda MX5 Soft top. Stock. Bose. Amazing. Couldn't stop thinking about my 1990 MX5 that was written off several cars ago. Soon to be for Sale.

10. 1991 Mazda MX5 - Hard top, air con, no power steering. Picked it up this week!

Watanabe F8F 15x7 +22
Watanabe centre caps
Toyo proxe R1R 205/50

After a few days of attempting to pay tribute to my first NA6, (purchased the same steering wheel, removed the hard top, removed rear guards, etc..) this is how it looks now:

I hope this one isn't written off. Must stay away from X5 drivers. ;)

Number 10 looks like a 10!

That FD looked (and probably drove) incredible, but I can see a real money pit. :lol:

Great journey, interesting how we all arrived in the mx place we are now in..... :D
Mine included an Alfa (great, broke down a lot not so great), a FULLY CHOICE 1971 Corolla coupe (poor uni student), a Hilux, a few 4wds, an Mr2..... etc.

Yes the Rx7 was an absolute weapon, I loved the sound it made, very expensive sound to create & maintain.

If you've seen my NA somewhere it must've been the previous owner as I've only had it since Monday.

I'm shocked at how good my new car is. before I bought it I never in my wildest dreams expected it to handle, accelerate, and change gears as smoothly as it does. :)
