Re: shipping exhausts from goodwin
Is there a significant price difference between the GWR and locally available exhausts? Next question I'd ask is performance value of the GWR ones over the locally available ones.

I think GWR are acknowledged as a leading supplier of performance parts for the MX5 especially the NC. The development work that goes into their products is extensive and the quality and service is also excellent.
There was a rear muffler developed locally for the NC but it was more twice the price of the GWR product.
I am very happy with my GWR RoadsterSport Q.

There's no competition here in oz that i know of. One of the local mx5 specialists told me this and quoted me double the price of the gws equivalent part.

How would the pricing from the local mx5 specialist compare now with the weakened Aussie dollar (including freight)?
Cheers,
Danny

Good point Danny. Understand that Goodwin has been doing this for a long time and if there's an issue it will cost you a bomb to send it back (I learned this the hard way with Burnout in Japan.....). I'd rather employ Aussie's personally. Goodwin Racing has a good heritage - no doubt but that doesn't discount the local manufactures at all. I'll put the MX5 Plus rear on my car after I get the PPE Catted header. I Reckon we are at the point in development that we should support local manufacturers, where we can. Don't look at buy - look at total TCO and local is just as good if not better and support is more convenient.
