bronze attachment connecting to the wastegate acatuator

As per the attached picture, there is broze connector that connects the wastegate actuator.

The ends on the connector are of two differrent sizes. Just want to clarify is the small diamater port the end that connects onto the wastegate actuator vacume pipe or is it the other way round.

Is this a factory turbo setup or custom?

SE, SP, or what?

Perhaps you might show a photo of the rest of the parts in concern, in context? I can't even tell from that photo which vacuum line or hose you are talking about, from where to where.

The car is an SE (based on the rocker cover).

The hose reducer is necessary because the wastegate's barb is smaller than the barb from the OEM boost controller so a hose reducer is needed.

ie. small end goes to the wastegate barb.

thanks for that. It was actually installed the other way round which did not make sense. I actually swaped ends, with the small end attaching to the wastegate actuator end, and it drove so much better.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but could you give an explanation as to why the car drove better after you fixed it up?
Was the bigger hose leaking air around the wastegate fitting resulting in lower or inconsistent boost? Or does using a different size hose effect things?

Had to have been an air leak because different sized hose won't change it.
