AGI roll bar installation question

Postby Steampunk » Sat Jun 15, 2013 2:08 pm

Hey all
Can someone please confirm where the upside-down L shaped rear plate goes.
The only place I can think of is those little cubbys covered by top plates and the only photo I've found is this:

I don't have an NA on hand to check.

Thanks

OK, my turn.

The long bolts on the outside -

There's an angled panel inside the box section stopping the long bolt from going through to the hole I've drilled underneath. What to do?

Keep drilling!
Seriously though, it took forever to get through those three layers and line the bolts up.
Drill-bit extender, and try to get it straight the first time. I'd suggest a smaller bit to centre the larger, otherwise it'll just slip on the angle of the box section.

Good luck

Edit: I removed the seatbelts to give myself some more space (and then forgot to replace them before installing the bar).

I was afraid you were going to say that.

Cheers.

Can someone post a pic of how the doorbars mount to the cage?

I fear my cage might be missing the mounting points.

Sorry, haven't figured out how to do the image hosting thing. Probably a guide somewhere on the forum but hope the upload is OK.

In the centre-right of the image you can see the tail end of one of the door bars. Should be fairly easy to slot into place.

Mine still aren't in - seats in the way until I take the leap off the edge of no return to stock seating. Best of luck.

Cheers

Thanks Stu,

They look easy enough to add on I think.

How much do your standard seats not fit by?

not standard seats sorry. pair of sparco revs. bar hits the side bolsters. haven't tried with stock seats but I'm sure somebody has.

Will also depend on how far back your seat is.

cheers

I'll bolt seats back in and see soon enough.
