Well since they're on an MX-5, they will likely add about 3% to the cars weight.
No seriously, their weight will not change anything. Your clothes will weigh more - if you wanted to offset the additional weight of the stickers, take off your jumper when you drive.

Re: MALIBU GOLD REGISTER
Re getting a remake of the Malibu stickers, it's worth contacting Mazda Aust & briefly explaining the situation as they have been very helpful in the past, & put us in contact with the original sticker maker for other MX5 models.
But it's best to check with Mazda Aust first because they quite possibly used different suppliers for different models. If not, I have the contact details of one of their past suppliers in Vic, but the nod from Mazda Aust will be required to get this supplier to resupply.
I have done this in the past, & the remakes were supplied by the original supplier & were perfect, but it's best for one of the Malibu owners to take carriage of this as they can then control the GB.
I have a contact at Mazda Aust, but I'm not sure if they still work there. However, contact can also be made via by calling <1800 034 411>, or emailing <CustomerServiceEnq@mazda.com.au>. Of course, you might decide to go your own way & just get remakes done by a competent supplier, but it's well worth asking Mazda Aust first.

Mr 93_clubman, once again you are a font of 5 knowledge. My hat is off to you. Actually my hat doesn't really spend much time on due to the wind issues that go with the convertible territory.
I will get off an email to customer service later today, and post the response back here once it comes back.

In the interim, I'll find & PM you the contact details of someone I know who was at Mazda Aust (don't know if they're still there, or if they've moved into another part of the company) in case your request is declined or simply falls into the too hard basket.

Did they all come with the Malibu graphic?
Mine has black pin-striping I assumed was from factory.

1. a Malibu often parks on New Line Rd near Cherrybrook Public School.Last week when I was on my way to Mania, I saw the driver, a 30 something (?) blonde woman. Does anyone know this car?
2. the very next day, I saw a nice Malibu parked near Sutherland Railway Station. I left my name, number etc under the windscreen wiper but they didnt call. Anyone know of one in the Shire (apart from mine) .I have not seen this one before or since.
3. There are presently 3 Malibus for sale. One at Gawler in Adelaide, $5,300 looks good, one at Liverpool on Gumtree for $around $7500, and another one in Brisbane on Gumtree for $9,900 with 180,000 k's.
Haha this is a bit late but I was the one that parked in Sutherland that day. I tried texting the number you left, but I guess it didn't get through.
I live in Menai but I usually drive out of the Shire, which is why you probably haven't seen me since haha.

Re: MALIBU GOLD REGISTER
Hi All,
I have received an update from Mazda HQ regarding the Mailbu stickers;
So basically, it's a factory decal, and we're going to have to get someone to recreate. However, if we can get the original decal drawings / designs, this will make our collective Malibu lives much easier.
Will let you know when I receive anything further!
Ray

Dear Ray
Thank you for your enquiry to Mazda Customer Support.
This was a factory decal and we will endeavour to find out if we can get hold of the pattern from Mazda Corporation.
We appreciate your patience in this matter and will provide further details when received.

Interesting that Mazda's advice is they were 'factory'. Suggests the decal might have been intended for use in multiple markets.
