OEM Suspension Bushes

Postby Garry » Wed Jun 12, 2013 10:38 pm

Hi guys, long time no see.

With 190,000km on my car now I've been thinking about giving the suspension bushes a freshen up. I'd like to get some feedback from anyone who has replaced all the bushes with new OEM rubber bushes. I have an NB8B but I'm interested in NA or NB's. Did you notice much difference? If so what differences did you notice? Around what sort of money would I be up for supplied and fitted?

PS I'm only interested in rubber bushes, none of the aftermarket stuff.

Cheers

First problem might be finding genuine bushes. It looks like a full set from mx5parts would be over £2,000  They sell an IL Motorsports set, which is about as close as you could get to OEM spec, for £244 though.

As above, OEM bushes are hard to get.

As are any rubber bushes nowadays.

I think you can get aftermarket rubber ones from goodwin... they also stock the mazda speed ones but are kinda expensive.

Im thinking of doing mine aswell, I think some of the front ones are worn out but ive done nearly 300k...

Yeah, 600 pounds sounds a bit closer to the mark than 2000

I've seen the OEM bushes listed as individual parts but haven't found anyone selling them as a full kit. I've also seen the IL and Mazdaspeed ones but I think I'd prefer to stick with OEM if I do the job.

If anyone is interested I did a bit of shopping around online and found this place http://www.jimellismazdaparts.com/cars/Mazda/0/Miata/Suspension--Steering-Components/Miata-parts.html

$US553 shipped for all the OEM bushes for an NB. Gomiata has NA ones listed for a similar price during June as they are currently having a sale. I haven't priced them from Mazda locally yet but I've heard figures around $800+ mentioned.
