Re: MAZMAD'S Track car (and Driver) build
I have made a few changes I should have posted.
Quick update, fitted some new Enkei wheels pf01s, had it back on the dyno and found some more mid range. And used the Hans for the first time last weekend at the AASA / Modern Sports Car weekend.
Strange weekend, track was cold and then very very wet. Managed to almost equal my best time with a 1.12.16. Definitely more in it yet, need to get an 11 in front
Pics and vid to come soon!
(Anyone have a single or even pair of 15x8 6uls they want to sell.....?)

How did it go, was there any 'funny' looks or did people just accept that you were wearing one? Was if difficult to get in/out of the car?

Re: MAZMAD'S Track car (and Driver) build
I don't really get the bit about funny looks, I think these days there are more people that use the HANS than there are people that don't...these things can save your life...I reckon it's a must have.
Well done Craig for having a go at the 1 hours, best way to learn to race is to get out there and mix it with the more experienced racers, the weather conditions made for some tricky stuff, but it was fun.

Re: MAZMAD'S Track car (and Driver) build
Lou so glad Chris Gough gave me a kick up the bum to do it. It was so much fun, and great experience.
Not so happy when you would go past me like you were on rails though
Greg?? The Hans was great, no funny looks, a couple people wearing them actually. Not that I could care what people think, it's my head
I practiced putting it on and getting out of the car. I would do my usual thing, hop into he car and then do up crotch waist belts, then helmet n then Hans and shoulder belts.
And seriously as soon I drove onto the track I did not think about it again!

And yes getting out with the Hans required a particular approach and angle, but once you work it out, no problem.

Excellent question. Dunno, will check with big decks. All from reconfiguring the Haltech.
