As my life is sorting itself out, I will be there. I will have a second driver. Neither of us belong to the club, so what will the cost be? I'll pay as soon as I know.

Pays to lock in and pay early.

The cost for sprint and regularity events for 2011 is as follows:
EFT payment from a club member at least 14 days prior – $125
EFT payment from a club member’s partner for the same event – $65
EFT payment from a club member within 14 days prior – $135
EFT payment from a non club member at least 14 days prior – $145
EFT payment from a non club member within 14 days prior – $155
ALL PAYMENTS ON THE DAY – $165 No change will be given, very important you understand this. “no change is given. If you must pay on the day have the right money”

Refer via the following link to entry fees for the day. It will be the normal 'half-day' cost for a FULL day same as when you came up for March event

http://www.mx5clubqld.com.au/?page_id=51

Scroll down this page for entry fees etc

See you there!!

BTW, my stock NA6 will arrive on a trailer again, and I hope that doesn't frighten anyone. I live in Lismore NSW and don't need to have to find an alternative to get home. I'll probably still will be the slowest there, but the car will be unchanged after about three months, because it's not moved. My current drive cars are a Chery J3, a Jeep XJ, an MGF and the MX-5. Somehow the MX seems to have been forgotten.

Will accept offers on the MG, particularly if MX-5 parts or cars are involved. Its a '97 VVC.

Nothing wrong with being the slowest! When I first started I was timed by sundial and lap times were chiselled 'Flintstone' style, flaggies could have gone to sleep and had dinner by the time I came around again - BUT, I had fun and that's all that mattered

I'm interested, this will be my first track day in my Mx5 hopefully have my turbo tuned by then. But was wondering what are the safety requirements other than the long sleeves and helmet. I've got a roll bar, is there anything else i tried searching around but had little luck. Anyone know?

Please check the information on the club website.

General Track Day Information - http://www.mx5clubqld.com.au/?page_id=51

Competition format - http://www.mx5clubqld.com.au/?page_id=35 "Roll bars are encouraged and this year in an open cockpit car you will need a full face helmet. As always we would strongly encourage suitable track attire appropriate to scooting around the track at the speeds we do, but the minimum standard is still the full neck to wrist cotton shirt. Full leg trousers (no shorts) and enclosed shoes." Fire extinguishers are not required.

Forms required - http://www.mx5clubqld.com.au/?page_id=37

You will also need to buy or hire a timing transponder. Cost $80 to buy. Also $80 to hire and $60 refund given on return of the transponder at the conclusion of the event.

Oh, and don't forget to contact your CTP insurer and get a CTP motorsport extension for the day. Bring the letter with you to sign-in.

On a related topic, I am planning a 'sausage sizzle' at my home on the Saturday after - so that's 20 July

Bring a chair & your drinks
I will supply sausages, onions, sauces, bread etc etc
NO COST INVOLVED
Partners welcome

The idea is that on a track day we get little chance to swap stories etc and lots of us don't see the others until the next track day - so time to swap stories, anecdotes etc

Plan is to kick off around 2.30pm and finish around 8pm or so - location is 38km NORTH of Lakeside Park close to Bribie Island

The emphasis is on being social NOT a booze-up - tea & coffee etc can be supplied so pack your favourite mug or china cup & saucer

I MUST have numbers by Wednesday 17 July to organise food etc so please PM me with your email or a contact number and an indication as to whether you would like to attend

Stu {MINX] has offered to lead a 'convoy' up from Brisbane as well

A GREAT CHANCE TO SIT BACK AND SWAP STORIES, ASK THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN AROUND A WHILE WHAT'S THEIR SECRETS ETC!!

Thanks

EDIT: 'Regie' [honarary Queenslander] is welcome!!
