Cracked Headers. How soon should i swap them over?

That's so strange, I have had maxim works headers for my NA6 and my NA8, and 2 other sets of NB headers, none of which had any brackets. Are you sure yours havnt been modded to use the stock bracket?

Unless the stock one is a nice shiny stainless, I'm pretty sure it's not stock. Any of you maxim works units yours from new?

My maxim units were off nb, maybe that makes a difference

nah both 2nd hand units, maybe either they were lost in previous ownerships, or re-designed for NB.
