It's only a problem whenever the car gets dríven.... so technically it's not a problem. :P

My pleasure for the plug you deserved, and yes to everyone the cam timing also was fixed that night but I also paid MANIA to align the cams properly

Did you use timing to create a minor flatspot in the no load row of the 1000-1500rpm range?
because thats a common technique.

Of course you never notice it because as soon as you drive the car and touch the throttle it moves off the no load row and away from the timing deadspot you created.

Yes, but it wasn't just at one RPM, it was all through to about 1750 RPM, because it was stable above 1750 RPM - and then after that you can't just bring the timing back in because then it's very harsh there so I brought it back in at 5 degrees every 250 RPM. I've seen people detune the ignition timing at idle before but I haven't seen it done like this - as I said maybe it's common but I haven't heard people talk about it and as you can imagine I talk to a lot of tuners!

Im no pro but Ive done it a lot of the time. also dont mind cheating older ecus that dont blend cells. You can simply put 25 degrees timing in the rpm cell you want to idle at and then tune the next rpm cell with say 10 degrees and the car will in most cases sit pretty solidly between them as the timing trims the idle aggressively.

Similar kind of thing.

Yeah, that's a tried and true method for sure at idle - and yes this is the same kind of thing.

Good to hear you got it sorted mexiegirl! With the power band shifted up like that does it feel sluggish low in the revs or is it still decent?

Thanks for your support, the rev limiter is about 7ish, I only hit that when she been a naughty girl or i'm pissed off, the cams are stage 2 inlet, stage 1.5 exhaust because of being a daily driver I didn't want to loose the low end because NA8 are so off the mark doughy, I hate stalling when the light goes green..

All in all the rev range i'm happy now the cam timing is in a good spot with adjustable sprokets

Hey Angela, I told you I have an NA, I just dynoed it the other night, still needs the body sorted but here it is, kind of sounds a little bit like your car when the exhaust cam timing was off:
