[VIC] Dodgy (weather) / Tech Day @ 2 June 2013

.. first and foremost, many thanks to sprx3 for volunteering his pad to host and preppin' the grub and drinks for the barbie. Weather was a bit of a bummer with all the rain, no polish action on Sparky.. so the only car that was worked on was stilletto_rebel along with the Mazda club's scrutineering of its club rego cars , but I had a good feeling none of us minded at all. We were all waiting in line praying anxiously that sprx3 and aka_juffa did not burn all the snags and rissoles. Good job limiting our carbon intake so 'just nice' to avoid any carbon tax.

But it all ended well with FFG considering I should consider an offroading career with the MX5, davekmoore on the receiving end of the Skoda jokes, stiletto_rebel diligently working on his ride, and meanmx justifying that his MX5 looks much better than FFG's while trying to buy aka_juffa's turbo kit.

Ok, am going to see if I can put forum names to real names. I know I'm missing a few, but do fill in the blanks later.

Number 8 was the infamous Green Comet and his gorgeous soul mate (Ryan and Courtney). He has the sweetest clubman around, even though it is white....
Number 9 is Droo (my brother) and it is actually an awesome NA8 (it used to be my car

FFG, thanks for filling up the blanks. I was looking for a "striped" NA8, it does look sleek indeed.
Green Comet's ST looks really pretty mean indeed. Although I won't comment on Dave's cardigan. Can't wait to see the gold beast in action though

Thanks to Zoran and his dad for hosting some mads cars and their owners. Thanks to Stilletto_rebel for organising us and finally to Shuey for the photos and write up.

Did anyone notice that the purple Gemini has a 308 under the hood :shock:

And that Grenn 323 with the rotary. OMG...I wasn't sure if that was a turbo under the hood or a fuel pump from a Saturn Five moon rocket....either way, it was B...I...G

The honour was all ours, thank you for coming along it was great to meet some new faces as well as catching up with the old gang. I hope you all had a great time and can't wait to host another one, especially as no work got done on most cars...

For who ever is interested could you please pm me your full name and phone number and I will put you on the MCCA sms list and send you out event reminders if you would like to attend. Our next event will be in a couple of weeks time at the drive ins to see F&F6 on the Friday night and we will also be attending the fun day that weekend at winton.
