NB front bar questions

Postby chops » Fri May 31, 2013 11:16 am

so i have managed to stuff the front bar on my SE and need to replace it. Pretty expensive new replacement parts so i was wondering if NB8B front bars fit up happily? understand the bottom SE spoiler may not attach but i don't intend on running this any way but maybe a GV front on NB8B front bar? Would like to know if anyone has fitted an NB8B bar to an SE or similar or any other ideas?

yep the 8b bar will bolt straight up to the SE

you can also transfer the front lip over to the new bar
MY07 NC, Mazdaspeed Body, Ohlins, Full GWR Exhaust, 17x9 RPF1's, 4.1FGR and lots lots more

Get yourself a lot of polyurethane before you go ahead with remounting the SE lip to an NB8B bumper. The clips and or SCREWS you drill just don't seem to be enough (i had a broken arm at the time, so maybe i just did a bad job of it) but it was like.. just never "perfect" until i got polyurethane and glued it all together.

Have since got it fixed with a nb8b bar and a GV lip which I like the look of, from memory the OEM lip was dearer than the front bar!

Yeah anything Mazdaspeed would be a premium.

I know HSV and FPV don't like you buy their parts unless you have one of their cars and even then they've bloody expensive. I once pondered modifying F6 typhoon rear diffuser, being a domestic taxi I thought the parts might be cheap cheap, the holder section of the rear bar is $890 and the mesh is $1065.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.
