Seat mounting

Postby track_addict » Mon May 27, 2013 7:33 pm

Hi guys,

I'm after a bit of advice on how to mount my fixed back. Basically I want/need to get lower in the car. I'm tall (6'2") and my head sits quite close to my BD bar so I would like to get my head away from it and further below it as well. My current seat is a Bride Zeta 2 on Bride rails but I would like to change to a seat where the head rest section comes up higher and wont allow my head to roll over the top and smack the roll bar as the Bride does. Whilst I sit lower than stock it just doesn't cut it.

I'm looking for a fixed mount since that seems to be the only way to get low enough and I'm not to keen on making a bracket up. I'm also keen on using the stock mounting points as I don't want to drill holes in the floor pan or remove the stock points. Now, is my only option to make up a mount or are there good mounts available. I have seen the PCI mounts but are they the "best" in terms of sitting low? What are my options?

Thanks guys,

Ash.

Garage star also make one for stock floor mounts. Can't comment on how good it is though.

Yes I have been looking at the GStar rails as well but I'm still a bit up in the air about the whole thing haha.
