I'm looking at getting a spare set of track tyres to have set up just in case I accidentally damage a tyre or in case the weather turns really wet.
Previously I had a set of Toyo T1Rs which were OK when it was p!ssing down, but weren't much good as the track dried out.
I'm now considering something like the Star Spec Z1 or Toyo R1-R as I think they should be OK on a wet track (i.e. standing water), but should also work well enough if/when the track started to dry out. If the track is just damp, as opposed to wringing wet, I'd probably continue to use what ever R-specs I had on at the time.
Has anyone had any really positive experiences with wet weather track tyre?
Any experience with a good wet weather track tyre?

Star specs are awesome in the wet.
Consider the BFG Rivals too, they've been getting rave reviews (not sure about wet weather performance though)

I used fresh StarSpecs when it was pissing down at the Island a couple of years ago. I drove around absolutely everything, inside or outside, it didn't matter. It's my best track experience, ever.
