apparently the stuff to use is "RIT DYE" its th best stuff from all accounts. you can even dye chrome plastic parts so they look anodised etc. theres loads of tutorials on youtube. im thinking about trying it.

RIT is readily procurable and some other well known brands as well.Instructions on the boxes. I have dyed a few things and certainly rejuvenated products but there are limitations.
