Topless Movies

Probably a terrible idea cause the weather is getting mighty chilly, but would anyone be keen to do a run to Yatala Pies then to Yatala drive ins to watch TF&TF 6 when its finally released?! (if it plays there, no reason why it shouldn't!)

In that case I will bring the Amarok and tow the MX5 on a trailer to the drive in. That way can unload the MX5 and have a raised seating platform (trailer) or leave the MX5 on the trailer and have a great viewing platform.

I'm trashing this idea cause it's flippin' cold.
I've already seen the new F&F, because pirate. :oops:

(It's not actually that bad, quite enjoyable! Some parts shouldn't have ever been written though, trying to hard to be an action movie.)
I'm still very very keen to go see it on the big screen though, so maybe we could go as a gang to a cinema somewhere?

Topless is still allowed, however in most modern societies its frowned upon in public places

I'm over Drive-ins CN!! I worked in them for 16 years and could write a book! Maybe when it's warmer sure as I need a few more chapters :wink:

So many funny incidents tho, lots 'clean' and lots 'not so clean'! A few anecdotes:

Lady: we cant see the screen
Me: where are you parked?
Lady: over next to that panel van
Me: umm you're facing the wrong way - they sit in the back!

Another

Lady: I can't hear this silly radio sound system
Me: OK be over shortly
Lady: see!! I cant hear a thing!!!
Me: umm clip it to the radio antenna, dont push it in your ear!!

Lastly

Lady: why don't you show movies thru the day?
Me: no one wants to come and watch
Lady: why?
Me: well for starters you cant see the movie on the screen until it's dark
Lady" Oh!! silly me!

I remember back in Adelaide we could sit on my friends roof, tune into the station and get free movies

I will definitely revive this plan once it warms up a little bit though!

We had a hole in the back fence down near the shed where the 'letters' were kept that made up the sign on the Highway!! One night the boss and I went down and sold tickets to those climbing thru!!

At one stage, Sunday night was 'R' night and every 'view hole' in the projection box was taken!! Those were the days when each reel was approximately 20 mins and you would change from one projector to the other - unfortunately the Projectionist put the reels on like 1-2-4-3-5, so the 'baddie' got shot in the movie and 20 mins later he was up and going again!! Nowadays in the big cinemas the whole movie is on a platter but even then things can go wrong!

One night a cow broke loose with its tether and wandered down the road, thru the exit gate and headed for the restaurant at the back!! It got caught against a speaker post and so decided to say hello to this lady in a car!! SHE FREAKED AND SCREAMED SO LOUD THE WHOLE FIELD HEARD HER!!

And then the car which kept flashing it's headlights at the screen, I walked over, down the back far side where all sorts of things happened, I walked away, a couple doing 'things' and his foot was caught thru the steering wheel and his toes pulling the headlight arm!!

Funniest in a way? 'The Meaning of Life' when the rather large guy finally exploded .. so many doors opened and ........!! Glad we had a cleaner!

Pink Floyd 'The Wall' .. we were almost stoned just walking the field!!

BTW I had a 'normal' job and this was a second job, the manager being a friend and needing someone in a hurry I said I'd help him out! I loved it, 4-5 nights a week, dusk to dawns and never a dull moment!
