Not this time, she still has lectures on Mondays but next semester all Mondays are free so she will be attending the remaining 3 track days. Have to work on a setup to stop her closing the gap. :)

Haha!! If she is doing that I'm sure that it is making her an even better driver, learning quality 'car control' as she goes

Not sure Stu .. strange things are happening 'Northside' - absolutely bucketed down Saturday at lakeside but they battled on, I stayed for 3 runs of the 4 groups and not ONE incident did I see and some damn fast cars!! The guys Bill, Paul & Gary were there with '22/122/221' but only Bill was running, maybe 20 secs a lap slower but it WAS pouring!! Their report can be found on www.fast4racing.com

I forecast DRY for Monday 20th!!

Really hoping for a dry day on Monday. If it's wet it'll be a waste of time for me, turns out Yokohama S.Drives are complete crap with even a hint of water on the road. Throttle on, steady, off, brakes or no brakes, they just slide like they're on ice. Can't wait to convince myself to spend the money on some new tyres.

The rain in the afternoon on Friday ruined a potential 55sec lap of Lakeside for me :( After my previous hot laps in the Gallardo were 1min18sec coz of how wet it was, I was really hoping for a dry track for hot laps in a Radical SR3. Ended up being 59-60sec laps. One out-lap, one flying, one in-lap. Both of the first two laps we had slow traffic through the eastern loop (bloody mx5 drivers!) so I never really even got a full clean flying lap. That being said, I'm considering booking again and hoping for a dry day. In the rain it was totally worth the money, in the dry it will be something different altogether. Paul was kind enough to let me use my own helmet with a gopro attached (since I'd already bought the optional in-car footage ;)) so I got a decent bit of footage of the whole experience.

He certainly wasn't cruising. You can see a little bit of countersteering a few times, he goes hard considering the potential liability if he made a big mistake somewhere. He told me it could do 51s on full slicks in perfect conditions, so if it had been dry I would have expected around 55sec as a passenger. I wouldn't trust anybody else more than him (Paul Stokell) around there, he holds the outright lap record of 46.6 seconds :| I can't imagine a 55, let alone a 51 or a 46. Crazy talk.

All paid up,
New helmet with flames on it, s#it yeah! Ready for a bit of dicky speed master action.

Going to be sharing my car with a mate of mine, he's really looking forward to it as well.

Hopefully of another great track day, fingers crossed my car will be drivable by the end of it. I'm two for two at the moment, for needing a trailer to get it home.

Went back thru my rainfall history for home relating to 20 May and found:

2007 Nil
2008 Nil
2009 440.5mm [believe it!!]
2010 Nil
2011 4mm
2012 Nil

So, given that - IT WON'T RAIN!!!!

BOM forecast for Monday 20 May is 'fine, cold morning with temps Min 3 - Max 22'
