regarding cheap ecu?

Postby james_p93 » Sun May 12, 2013 1:06 pm

hey!
have been looking at ECUs and i came across this,
http://www.ebay.com/itm/AEM-FIC-PIGGY-B ... a8&vxp=mtr
a really cheap piggyback! seeing some piggybacks at 1700$, so is there a definate flaw to this one? im all for cheap no name ebay mods ( to a degree), and is there a reason this one isnt as good as say an adaptronic piggyback ecu? i have an SE and need an ECU upgrade from stock :p
cheers in advance

Just FYI the Adaptronic is a parallel install, not a piggyback. It is a full standalone as far as the engine control is concerned, and only retains the factory ECU for some functions (emissions stuff, alternator field control etc).
