I think a chrome fuel lid would offset the black much better than the green imo.

Worth keeping in mind that this stuff needs an immaculate surface to be truly removable.

Other than that I love what the OP has done...well the colours are not my choice but I love that he had a go and did what he wanted with it.

Something else of interest; I have noticed a few body shops that are in to custom work are now offering plastidip painting as an alternate to a wrap thats not as permanent as paint.

have seen some fully plastidipped cars being peeled back and all they needed was a good polish and that was it. how long was it on ur hard top for ?

A bit of turps on a rag will dissolve it for removal also.

Has anyone tried plastidip on race wheels? They do get pretty hot, often too hot to touch. They claim it's good for 200deg C but does it really take race heat?

A few people have said that once wheels are heat cycled at track temps a few times it bakes on and you cant just peel it off.

yea i had to use terps to get it off the wheels, it desolves it pretty quick though. also could be the fack i didnt put very thick coats on the wheels( had to get the black off the wheels before a put green on them)

As usual I miss the point. Why put this gunk on the car - spend money doing it- then remove it? Is it just a fashion statement along the lines of what colour tee shirt will I wear today with my cool new jacket and will my Prada bag really cut it with guys in the coffee shop?

Well done for going outside 'the square'!! Not sure i'd try it with either of mine but the mind boggles at what else you could do!! What about the 'M1 300' Club - that bl**dy red car and they call to your home and it's RED!!!

The is/was an 86 in chrome but I think that was 'wrapped' - it's been suggested I 'plasti-dip' the front of my 86 rather than buy a CarBra for it!

I will have a good look on 20th at QR

like i have said... if u dont like the colour bla bla think of it ass a car bra. alot of driving=alot of stonechips. stonechips=devalue of car. if u have something against me protecting my paint.. troll away son, tell me what you dont like about it. in a way its function over form.

yea i wanna do the badges :p dont really know the best way to, heatgun might screw the plastidip around it and idk how to glue them back on xD
