Hi.
Would anybody know if there is a difference in the free lengths of valve springs in the 1.6 and 1.8 engines please. The lengths if known would help me.

Re: valve spring lenghts
NA8:
free length IN and EX 46.26mm,
min length 39.5mm under a fixed load of 22.8 to 25.8 Kgf
NA6:
free length IN 48.0 mm / EX 48.3 mm EX,
min length IN 40.0 mm at 22.1 to 25.1 Kgf / EX 40.0 at 17.7 to 20.0 Kgf
So slightly different. Call Performance Springs in Qld if you want replacements: best and cheapest.

Re: valve spring lenghts
No problem. FWIW I had 2 sets of NA8 springs, both with about 170,000kms on them. 2 springs out of 32 passed the loaded length test.
