I have a 1999 NB and I have been advised to get a new radiator as the one I have is brown on top and may start to leak soon.
I was also advised to buy a new radiator...all alloy same as they put in Turbo models as it is larger in size and will fit perfectly...and no plastic.
Should I replace the old one with the same, recondition it or go for the new all alloy one for $350?

if you don't have any serious engine mods, just go with the cheapest option - recondition it.
the plastic end tanks are good for 10+ years.
if you want bling, you can buy an alloy radiator on ebay for $150-200. fit it yourself in 20 mins by undoing two bolts.

Thanks for the reply. My mods will be extractors with free exhaust...Magniflow rear...CIA (not sure which type yet) lowered suspension. So I expect from what you have said just recondition the old radiator? Sounds good to my pocket

Just confirm how much replacing top & bottom tanks is going to cost as you may find you're better off get a 42mm ASI or similar alloy rad.

yes mate, solid advice above just do a reco if is less than a hungie, when mine turned brown I just got a cheapo ASI from ebay all alloy and works great. Many people can vouch for as can I.

Thanks for the replies. I think I will go with the repair option...waiting on a quote now for repair.
Getting the full exhaust system done by Rob Bliss next week, CIA as well. Then Rota RB retro alloys with a new suspension kit lowered about 1.3"...
Looking for a twin loop chrome roll bar too.
