Second for Option 1. Whilst their website http://www.option1garage.com.au/NewTyres.htm only show Achilles they also used to sell Federal and Kumo (I hope).

Ethan, try Tyres and More in Geebung. I recently bought a set of Yoko C Drives 2 from them. They were 20 bucks cheaper per tyre than the other places I tried.

Hero Milanza not Achilles, and those Hero's are only ok in the dry and rubbish in the wet. I would feel very guilty putting them on for someone elses' use.
There's a mob in Coopers Plains that advertise on Gumtree, they seem to have run-out specials all the time.
Michelin PS3 for $160 in 15", Achilles ATR $89, Federal 595 Evo $89, etc. so obviously cheaper for non "performance" tyres.

Re: Good prices for tyres Brisbane
The Achilles are a pretty good tyre for the dollars. I paid $100 a corner fitted for 235/45/17 for my S14. They are good in both dry and wet, though I can easily provoke wheelspin in the wet if I am not careful and just jump on the throttle over 3000rpm as the turbo comes in.

Take it from me. I have Milanza Heros and they are crap, wet or dry.

Re: Good prices for tyres Brisbane
Thread Necro:
I need new tyres, as the two RSR's on the rear are down to the wear bars. Ringing around getting prices things seem to be more expensive then i was expecting.
I'm also getting alot of "hmm not a huge amount available in 205/50/15" but when i ask about 195/50/15 i seem to end up with lower spec stuff.
Car is weekend use so combination of highway to places and then harder driving (the odd track day, mountain etc). I'll probably only see 5k to maybe 7k km a year so i don't need a huge life tire but i'd like to get 3 years. The RSR is ok price wise but at 140 tread wear, i can't help but feel $/km might be better with the better stuff from the USA.
Also wondering if the better stuff from the states wont just be a waste for my use and to just take a step back to a RE-002 or similar.
Current Favorites are either Ku31 as a budget option or RE-11A as the expensive option
Or try the Achilles 123 in a 195
Thoughts?
Current pricing and options are
205/50/15
Falken ZE912 -$102 - looks a grade down - Bob Jane
ku31 - $130 - being fazed out replaced by KU 39 but not likely in 205/50. Cleveland tyre zone
Ku36 - $175+fitting Tempy Tires, (guessing 30 fitting). 175 from Tyre Zone Cleveland - $107USD ~ 190 + fitting AUD 180 wear rating need heat
595 RSR - $185 fitted Goodyear Cleveland 140 tread wear - 140+ (170?) Fitting ebay
Toyo t1r - $180 Fitted Cleveland tyre zone - similar to Re-002 level? "Max performance summer" 320 tread wear
Nitto Neo gen $185 Jax Quick Fit - grade down (Ku31 level)
RE002 - 180+ @tempy tires $199 - $212 -Cleveland Bob Jane - grade down?
Dunlop Direzza ZII - 109USD ~775(~194AUD) plus fitting ~210 aud fitted 200 Tread wear. Rated 4th behind RE-11A, BFG Rival, Advan AD08R
RE-11A - $111 USD ~775 ~210 per tire - rated best by tire rack overall dry grip/turn in suffers a bit
BFG Rival - $118USD Tire rack - 200 Tread wear - suffers in the wet, no warning and big slides
AD08R - ~129USD - $215 Plus Fitting - 245 @ guess (Priced from tire rack). Good around, not as good on road as RE-11A, better on track.
Nitto NT01 $289. Jax quick fit - $270each Option 1 110 treadwear
Pirelli PZero Asymetro - $278 - Bob Jane
195/50/15
Achilles 123 195/50 $131 each 220 treadwear last a bit longer the RSR, basically same compound. ?? very different tread wear rating though.
Goodyear F1 direction 5 - $165
Kuhmo Ku31 - 95 + Freight & FItting
Michelin PS3 155+ Freight & Fitting - Tempe Tires
