I was wondering if anyone out of the people that are attending the QR track day is running forced induction (supercharger or turbo)?
Its a route down the track Iv considered going so it would be nice to see some FI setups, but thats of course after I purchase a MX5 :)

Looking forward to this event, I want to meet some other members and see some more MX5's.

Should be a few there Rhys, MINX has an SE Turbo, it's sorta quick [well, damn quick and there should be a few others there as well. 'Zoom-Zoom' I hope will be there and he currently has the fastest car in the club this year, sub 60's at Lakeside in an NA turbo, I'm sure if there Tim will be only too happy to show you the car

THE POOL MAN IS BACK! (well nearly)

He has just bought this new toy, but may bring the Ralliart back out in July for LS
This one needs a little work first.

Hopefully I will be out there for this one, with any luck the weather will be good and the car can behave.

On a side note I went out to timeattack at lakeside on the weekend, I wasn't terribly happy with the setup but I was very pleased to just crack into the 58s with a 58.9 ;-). Now to apply for my day off for this one!

Cheers,

Tim

I thought about it Tim, but had Rhys up Saturday for some test driving [I think he would still have the grin!]

Well done on the 58!!

If you can get there. will be great to catch up and I will intro you to him, he can ask questions I couldn't answer!! I can answer 'best way to clean a valve cap' but he didn't ask that one! More about turbos/superchargers etc so I will leave that to the experts

Are you going to 'Macleans Bridge at Lakeside' the day before? Not sure how many the Club has going [group display] but it should be a great day to park and display and then go for a wander knowing there will be people there watching over your car!!

27 days to QR!! Applied today for the Tuesday off - will need that to recover!

I thought he had bought a City Turbo for track days. Killed it already?
A Sprite/Midget is pretty cool though.

Yep Im still smiling haha it was brilliant. Zero00 you answered plenty of questions and you helped me decide the answer on the most important one, do I like them and which one do I want :) It would be nice to take a look at a forced induction mx too, imo they really dont need more power not much anyway but its a possibility way down the track if I really want to get my heart racing lol.

I put in for my 2 days off today ;)

Rhys

I CAN beat Tim! Just so long as he gives me 2 days start and stops for coffee between laps 3-4!! Seriously, Tim's car is just fantastic [I can't spell oarsum] and all going well love to see him there!!

Again Tim, congratulations on the Lakeside 58!!

Roger's quite the salesman. All I did was sit in his NA, and I bought my NB within a week without ever having actually dríven one.

Not only that Ross, I think you sat in the NA - was telling 'speed freak' that the other day! 5 days later and you had your NB!! It's an MX5 thing, others just wouldn't understand!!

It is a bug- it gets under your skin, which isnt bad considering how thick it has to be enduring all the hair dresser references... Mr freak- i too have a hair dryer on my series one NB. You are welcome to have a look over that- pending my attendance. Blew the seals on the turbo, and spent the last two weeks finding enough time to plumb in it's replacement. Sounds even fitter, it now has a rather angry sounding pigeon under t' bonnet...
Should nick name it angry bird... It's not in Tim or Charlie's league though...
QR clubman 64.93 - lakeside 67 neat- first time out...

Haha thats true. They are very addictive cars. Im used to all the hairdresser car comments, I used to have a 2006 suzuki swift (modified) and I used to cop those comments then. IMO the people who make these comments and judge the cars people drive either are jealous or they really dont know what a great car these are. Sounds good, hopefully you can make it, Id love to take a look. Not sure if F/I is the way I want to go as they are brilliant in stock form but it sure would make it alot more fun.
