slight leak from soft top?
Hi guys i've got a na mx-5 and there seems to be a slight leak coming from the side by the door arch. I've only noticed it today cause it was pouring down with rain. I was wondering how could i stop this? Either diy or take it somewhere? Any suggestions? Thanks.

NBs - and I think NAs have same softtop - tend to leak if anywhere at the back edge of the door window. Nothing major and I only ever found it leaked there if squirting a hose there when cleaning the green machine. That is why they have a little rubber catch tray and drain hole below this area (and btw good idea to clean this to prevent rust).

Gets filled up with gunk, pretty gross. Get a coat hanger and straighten it out and clear it so it drains.

C) To adjust the seals closer to the windows, pull the rubber seals out of their tracks (straight pull down). Once the rubber seals are removed or at least pulled out of the way, you will see silver metal tracks. These tracks (as you can see) are held in-place with some screws. Loosen these screws and move these metal tracks closer to the outside of the car (towards the doors). Now tighten and re-install the rubber seals. FYI, this solution also works on the hardtops too!
