Decided today I'm too old, the faster I go the more the wrinkles spread! Can we have a few runs in reverse?

Wrinkles are just WISDOM LINES, Roger. Unfortunately we can't be young & beautiful, AND wise. :D

NRMA CTP INSURANCE

Anyone that's CTP is NRMA, give Gillian a ring at the Stafford Office [3352-3581] as she is going on leave early May and you will have to go thru the State Office or NSW [latter has no idea what you are talking about!!]

31 DAYS TO GO :!: :!:

Just a reminder that QR Track Day is coming up fast!! Only 4 weeks from next Monday and we are into round 3 of the 2013 Championhip

A few things to remember:

CTP extension
Entry fee - pay by Monday 6 May for the BEST deal!! [14 days prior or earlier if you like!!]
Make sure you have your car checked over for safety if you can't do that yourself

If you are a newbie and have never run before, just make a post here if you have any questions, someone WILL reply within 12-24 hours

Please flick Mark the Competition Secretary an email to let him know you will be attending - please DO NOT expect a reply

compsecmx5@miata.net.au will do the job for that one

PS: If you are worried that you are slow, get over it! If you had seen MY first attempt I was so damn slow they dragged a calendar out to time me and I thought I was FLYING!! Cars are grouped according to lap times and if you are a beginner you will be placed in the final group with like-minded drivers, so please feel safe that no one will fly past at triple you speed!!

Of course if you show a considerable lap time improvement they can move you into the group above with cars of comparable lap times

Probably more of a question for Minx than anyone else.

With the points score, is there still points awarded for improving your time, as was on the webpage, and if so, how far back does that go, is it for all times recorded by the club for that car and driver or just for the current year?

I'll have my payment in once the tax man takes his cut of my moneys for the quarter, and looking forward to see how much more I need to play with the coilovers. Also looking forward to see much improvement to my driving the morning at Morgan Park on the 12th will make to my times as well.

Should make for an interesting day out at Willowbank.

MattR
The Trophy for Most Improved is based on current year only
The system for working it out involves a very clever and detailed excel spreadsheet calculator and also a little black note book with codes and dollar values of donations held by the CompSec

Stu, question wasn't about most improved award, but in the general point score that shows you are awarded 10 points for every 0.5 second improvement on your best time, or is this how the most improved is worked out?

Which particular "safety gear" do you mean? Helmet hire is $5.00 per day I believe. Free call 1800RACERS for more info.
