nb to na clutch & flywheel swap

Postby fcruz3r » Tue Apr 16, 2013 7:01 pm

hey all,

recently purchased a HD clutch kit for a 1990-93 1.6NA and was going to buy a lightened chromo 1.6 flywheel and swap over all these to my nb8a. Question I got is whether all the 1.8 flywheel & pressure plate bolts etc are re-usable to fit the NA one on my car?

just don't want to have dropped the gearbox only to realise that I needed all these other tiny bits to make it fit.

Cheers

Everything is interchangeable NA and NB as long as its a 1.6 clutch on a 1.6 flywheel and so on.
NC Roadie, NC Racey, ND Racey….and a 30AE

thanks mate. I guess my question is more whether i can re-use the existing pressure plate bolts and flywheel bolts from the 1.8 NB

I've got/getting the following
1. NA6 1.6HD clutch kit...which would have the pp, disk and throwout bearing
2. NA6 lightened flywheel (new FW only, no bolts included)
3. spigot bearing
4. rear main seal (for nb)

so basically i need to know whether i'll have the right number of pressure plate bolts, flywheel bolts to make this a straight forward swap? mainly concerned because from the pics I've seen, the na6 flywheel is flat and the nb flywheel have raised pp mount points...so the bolts may be too short / long / less / more?

If your buying a TODA flywheel, then the pressure plate bolts won't fit.

From memory ( memory me ha ha) the std bolts are 8x1.25, you need 8 x 1.5 x 15 or visa versa.

Your welcome :) :)
