Can anyone recommend a good quality replacement soft top that I might be able to source locally Australia Vic?

This is the Aust branch of the Prestige Auto Tops also advertised on ebay. Plenty of us on here have bought them since 2004 when they first advertised them on ebay.

Hey, I got lucky and found a really good condition top still attached to the roof assembly with rain rail and all. Just ended up switching out the entire assembly as one unit. Was actually pretty easy to do, just time consuming with little fiddly jobs but overall very easy for any mx5 owner to pull off in their garage with just basic tools :) I still have my original assembly, might be useful to someone with a stuffed rain rail/tension rods/latches/frame. It’s for sale. Just check my profile.

The MX5 factory had tops at one stage and certainly can fit them. There is always a cost for labour- your cost in time or the fitters cost at a higher rate offset by expertise and maybe convenience.

re fitting the roof assembly as one unit is a job that any mx5 owner can pull off with a few hours of youtube browsing (there is some really good step by step guides on there) but re skinning just the soft top material is a pain in the ass! i would get than done professionally because i can see it now (finishes top, folds the roof up, finds giant saggy crease on one side..) i would be annoyed at myself for causing more work haha
