Re: HANS Device - group buy
Ok James.
So confirmed today will be minimum of $50 off either a Hans Sport I or Sport II. Airbag will be $15. Those in Sydney can get the fittings put on their helmet. So Sport I is $550, Sport II is $700.
So to confirm:
1. Craig / mazmad Sport II (Sydney) - medium
2. Magpie Sport I (Brisbane) - medium
3. James_Hay Sport (Brisbane) - medium?
4...?

If you can pm me your address and confirm the order, I will send all details - model, size, address - to Revolution Racegear Brookvale and then all we each need to do is call them to give them payment. I will send you their ph number.

Just to let you guys know, Demon Tweeks in the UK have the Hans Sport II for $500 delivered. I am just getting a couple more details from them and will then decide wether to go the Hans or necksgen device for myself.

That's rather cheap and Demon Tweeks aren't cheap, usually. Leads me to think you can find them even cheaper in the internets...

That's about the cheapest you will find them on the internets, maybe a couple of dollars cheaper, but not much.

If you need the helmet with posts too, as I do, autosport.com.au has some good deals on the stand21 HANS with Velo helmets.

Re: HANS Device - group buy
Hey Matt - that's cheap. $200 cheaper in fact! My concern is fitting to my helmet, need someone to do that for me which is why going with a local supplier. I want to get it fitted right given the importance of this bit of gear (hence why old dunderhead / fumblefingers here is NOT going to do it himself... )
Magpie - James - you should get them from there seeing as you are fitting them yourself.
Sucks doesn't it for the local provider, provide the service and demo's....but money talks as always!

I did mine. The helmet holes are already in the helmet, and if you can tell the difference between a nut and a bolt, you should be ok - the instructions (with mine - a Bell from Pegasus in the US) were straightforward.
I never met a horsepower I didn't like (thanks bwob)

Re: HANS Device - group buy
So demontweeks has them including shipping to Australia as Matt said for $500. There is a small saving on freight for the second or third item. But then it has to be shipped within Australia to whomever orders them.
Suggest you boys in Brisbane pair up and order them if you want.

Re: HANS Device - group buy
You will also need to get posts at a rough cost of $50 so will be $550 all up to your door with a 5-7 day turn around according to the email I got back. I will be calling the sales rep who answered my email and ordering tonight.
They can also size it based on your shirt collar size, and since I played rugby in the tight 5 I will no doubt be vetting the large one to fit my neck and chins

Re: HANS Device - group buy
As I played rugby in the backs I only need a medium. Thanks for tip re posts I couldn't find them on the website but figured I could get them locally.
Edit....scrap that, got them, Scroth posts. So makes it $550 vs $700 with free fitting. Hmmm.
