Your car looks great Regie! I found it on miata.net and was admiring it the other day.
I probably should have had another option on the poll for liking them all!
Congrats on the NC doc

Mean NC2 vs happy NC2![]()
My thoughts exactly when I first looked at your 3 NC pics. My pref style-wise is NC3, but it would be interesting to compare NC1, NC2, & NC3 of the same colour, as I think colour probably still influences us even though we're trying to focus on frontal design. My pref colour-wise is NC1 Winning Blue, so I'm conflicted.

I did think of adding pics of all cars in same color. Like silver but was a bit lazy looking them all up!
I'll look for some pics and will add them into the thread.
Love winning blue in NC1, crystal white in all others!

We all have our favourite colour choices.
That's why they make them in so many different ones!

And I think the "Smiley" face makes it look more like a cartoon than a real car.

As much as I can appreciate the NC mechanically, they all look a bit like a 'Noddy' car.

This probably won't change anyones vote on the model they prefer, but thought it was probably nice all the same to show the fronts in the same color!

As far as NC1s go.... the added grille insert and the winning blue makes this one a winner! It's also for sale if anyone is in the market for one
I have no affiliation with the car/seller, just a admirer!

Re: So I'm wondering, which is the most popular face of the
NC1, the original body shape in any car has the face designed for it... in most cars the lights and grills in later derivatives are tweaked for differentiation and lessen the clean sheet design...
I like the fact that the nod to "Etype" bonnet power bulge, is matched by the nod to the Etype (and many other) oval grill... and it is all clean and unfussy... the newer grills deviate from that
as an aside I also love the fact that in a nod to most old British roadsters, the oil gauge is front an center, the oil gauge being the most important gauge in an old British roadster... and is technically not necessary in a modern Mazda (maybe other than the rotaries)...
It is all IMHO, and yes I have NC1 skin in the game...
quite happy to swap my car for an NC3 though...
just not prepared to pay for a new one... cant justify it...

Regarding the 'Power Bulge' having had two NB's and now an NC, I feel that the car would have been more attractive had Mazda left out the 'Creases' around the bulge on the NC. One of my only dissapointments. Greg.
When you turn your car on, does it return the favour?

Looking forward to seeing which one you get Amanda

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Is it just me or do the front guards look thicker in the examples above? The shadows over the wheel arches look thicker to me.
Cheers Okibi! I can't see me paying the NC3 price but NC2 yes.

You're right it doesn't make me change my vote, but it certainly narrows the gap significantly. NC1 now looks less dated. If I was buying one, Winning Blue, yellow or white would be the colours, but I could live with light silver/ aluminium. Yeah, practically NC2 would be the pick.

Re: So I'm wondering, which is the most popular face of the
I am missing something here - entirely possible. Just on appearance the vote has gone to NC1 - it's a more svelte shape and less in your face but the later cars look terrific as well. Then why not buy an NC1 as a purchase?
