Dash gauges

Just wondering if anyone has had trouble with dash gauges stopping to work? Ive only ever pulled it out to change the lights in the back and that was weeks ago, but now my tachometer is sitting at 2,000 at idle when the car isn't sitting that high and my fuel gauge has stopped halfway? Any ideas would be great so that I can fix it once I get some petrol and get home.

sounds like you didn't plug the connectors back in properly when you put it back together again.

Agreed, you need to push the connecters in hard enough to feel/hear the retaining clip engage.
I usually give them a light pull after to ensure that they're fully engaged.
