Probably better for another thread but we really need to get out arses in gear in WA. Club racing is nearly dead and it seems nobody is allowed to fix it. I don't get why the Eastern States guys and gals seem to be able to come up with a new class, get entries, get circuit time and get TV coverage but we can't!

I've just confirmed with Matthew Ronke at Wakefield Park the cost for the entry will be $395 and this INCLUDES a pit lane garage.

This is exceptional value for 2 x one hour races!!

Chris can people share the pit guy?

Yes you can share a car controller for the CPS however this person can only control one car at a time - ie you can't double stack cars for the pitstop if you are sharing a controller.

For many of you this may be the first time doing a race that includes a pitstop. Because of this we will do a step by step guide on Saturday morning before the 1st race so you can familiarise yourselves with the requirements and also practice the stop if you feel it is necessary.

Peter, give Matthew at Wakefield a call as I'm not sure what else is on the program that weekend. I know at one stage they were talking about regularity however, I don't know if it was confirmed or not.

Following this closely as this looks a lot more user friendly system and the mods I had been thinking about for my track car will put it right at the pointy end of group B .

Is a HANS (Frontal Head Restraint) required?

What clothing do the Car Controller and pit crew have to wear?

Will there be the requirement for the pit crew to have a fire extingusher (showing a current inspection certificate)?

LONG SLEEVES, LONG PANTS, COVERED SHOES

I Gotta say well done - sounds like a great initiative

I have a question please regarding car eligibility. Would a 1994 NA8 Clubman with an aftermarket turbo be eligible for this class of racing? If I am reading and understanding the Modern Sports Car Regs correctly, the answer should be yes?
- The car itself is an eligible model (94 MX5)
- The car's modifications meets CAMS 2B requirements (when paragraph 1.2 is excluded)
- if 1.2 had been included it would fail, as 94 clubman was never factory turbo?

Could you please clarify, have I understood the requirement below correctly?

or 2F rules as published by CAMS, with the exception of the following
sections which are not relevant:

Chris told me that no non factory supercharging was allowed, however you could build a factory replica using factory parts eg an NB with an SP manifold and turbo would be allowed.
