Yep $200-300k evo's, Super car drivers and paid over sea drivers been flown in. Time attack is the new grass routes motor sport!

Problem with motor sport, some people must win at all costs. Even for a $2 cup.

Bloody hell, had to go back a bit to work out what you was asking

2F is the ideal class for an MX5 if you want to win & your willing to spend the money!!!!

2B the MX5 is so outclassed it isn't funny, how can a car making 300hp (TURBO 5 ) compete with a corvette/factory Lotus/RX7 or any number of bloody quick/powerful cars.
Matilda's car is bloody quick and so is Matilda, but running a best of low 2.32 compared to low 2.23 for Rick Shaw, so maybe later on ???? I dunno.

S'pose there is a reason CT sold the Turbo and bought 600+ horsepower.

Good race today. Wet track made tire choice interesting.

We made a mistake pitting for the driver swap after the safety car a lap late and came out 28th, but raced back to 5th overall. This was an Exige btw.

Nice stuff with the MX5's too at t1 from what I saw. Racing wheel to wheel all the way down the pack.

How many times do I have to go through this.

800 New manifold, 3" downpipe and 3" exhaust
200 Inconel stud kit, shipped
100 oil feed and return
200 alloy radiator
50 reroute
FREE ducting and vented bonnet
150 clutch
200 rx8 injectors, new and shipped
1000 ecu and tune
300 intercooler and piping

However much that is will do 200whp all day long. Thats buying everything new also.
probably 50% more torque than an n/a build too.

Well prod sports is a power to weight catagory.

Kw vs kilo.

Our car weighs about 1450 and we capped our power to 182rwkw to conform to these rules.
We had an na turbo car that we wanted to race and they wouldnt let us, so we built a nb sp to comply with the rules, 30k later we show up and people have a more modified version than what we had with the na. Then we go into a class where cars are way out of spec!!.

The only way of policing is with a dyno that can do shootout mode!! so no descrepancies between dyno brands.
And have the cars weighed at the same time.
Those found cheating shouldnt be excluded, but be made to race with a windscreen banner saying, I cant win with tallent, i need to CHEAT!!
Our car can make up to 300rwkw, and with splitter undertray and diffuser, would run 2.20 something.
Why have classes and rules if nobody complies??? Nice way to kill a series!!

Can i just point out you havent factored in the cost of the turbo itself.... im no expert but i feel like that bit is important... Our Naturally Aspirated NC has 205rwhp... all day long as it were... you dont need to reinvent the wheel to keep it cool, hell you dont even need to cut holes in the bonnet, the only thing you need to get on top of is oil surge.

Turbo is 200.

Still under 3500.

Still makes way more area under the curve than any n/a nc. It doesn't weigh 900kg either.

Where do you buy a turbo for $200?

This is just getting ridiculous, you need to actually bring one of these creations to a track and show people that it can be done... I will be the first person to congratulate you if you can manage to take one of these creations to a track and actually back up all of these claims... I'm only quite young but have tagged along with Dad to many a workshop and motorsport event in my 21 years and one thing i have learnt is that people and dynos lie... the stopwatch always tells the truth... you can tell people how effective things can be done for this amount of money or how the car will do a 1:10 or 1:02 or whatever time you pluck out of the sky but until you are there doing it lap after lap it doesn't mean squat... setting a goal is obviously a good way of going about things but boasting about being able to achieve it like it has been done is a complete different story.

Jojo82s car came in the price I said and it's done a few track days successfully.

I just did and mr2 for a similar price. Dweezles first car came in at that price.

A few others coat me similar but because the person paid me to do all the work cost them more.
