Have snailmailed the forms today. The sub regs don't specify what protective clothing we should wear, I guess helmet and wrist to ancle cover. Is that correct?

Shoes must not be synthetic. Nor should socks.
Helmet must have visor if convertible or open top.
Gloves are optional
Dont forget to:
Fit fire extinguisher (it must be less than 3 yrs old)
Tape up your Battery +ve terminal )last time the scrutineer gave me a blue battery location triangle to put on as well)
Bring some electrical tape to put on numbers.
Drive within your limits and experience. Although it is low speed, it is easy to make a big mistake. Last time I ended up in the nuts. No real damage other than flat spotted tyre, injured pride, and delays caused to other drivers.

It will be a first for me, so yes, I will take it easy. I will approach it the same way as Lakeside in November last year which was the first time ever on a track for me. Will be very interesting. How many fives do we expect?

Any where from 5-10 mx5s depending. They usually group the mx5s in the pits together.
Anything under 60 sec and drive home is a good first time out.

Re: Mt. Cotton Hillclimb 13/14 April
First time maybe at Mt cotton
any advice about the two day program, I cant find the planning details on the MGCC web site
Is it both days requirement for runners or do they supply a class run schedule or timetable.
Is there a additional cost for a day Cams licence and does the car need to pass scrutineering
Having not done a CAMs event before im not sure what is needed to comply for CAMs and is a AASA licence allowed
Thanks

Same both days. If you do the steps below on Saturday there is no need to repeat on Sunday.
Arrive at the hillclimb at least one hour prior to start time. Park in YOUR designated spot. Check website again on the Thursday night prior.
Do paperwork including licence application - yes you will have to pay. Make sure you have your CAMS affiliated club membership card, drivers licence and CTP insurance extension HARD COPY
Go to scrutineering and get car checked as well as your clothing/helmet
Park, go to briefing and line up as per the program that will be published by then.
