DIFF HELP!!!!

HEY I HAVE A SPARE DIFF OUT OF MY CAR STILL IN THE CASE, HOW DO I GET THE ONE BIG NUT OFF THAT LOOKS LIKE IT WOULD CONNECT TO THE SHAFT IM TRYING TO TAKE JUST THE CENTRE OUT NEEED HEEEEELP??? IT JUST KEEPS SPINNING AROUND AND THERES NOTHING TO HOLD IT WITH ???

Sounds like you are trying to undo the pinion nut....... dont do that if you are just trying to take the centre out.

There should be 10 bolts around the back of the case that hold the Alloy carrier on the back. Undo those bolts and the centre and the alloy carrier will come apart....... maybe with something wedged between them.

thanks ive got it about half a cm apart and it wont come apart any more ? any ideas why?

agree with Nitro. Plan -- to do jobs- take a look at a workshop manual- easy to buy or borrow. To remove flanges etc you sometimes need a puller- but check a manual before tearing into it.
