Then again, QR = 240km round trip!! With traffic around 5pm going home - allow 3 hours!! :frown:

Fun from the day? :)

Anybody in the Gold Coast area wanting to meet up and travel together please suggest a meeting place and time. My thoghts would be BP at Coomera for a 0615 departure.

Hence my 0615 departure time, however I may go a bit earlier and grab a coffee and fuel nearer the track :)

63 K's for me, but if I leave after 6.30 I'll get stuck in traffic on the Centenary Highway, so coffee stop sounds like the go.

Car & paperwork all ready now, so see you all there.

So where is the closest servo/coffee to Lakeside if coming from the south or west?

Sounds like it will be the place to meet, I may just leave the Coast early. My other half will be comming up later in the day with the spare fuel/tyres etc as well as the 5 yo as he wants to see the race cars so he is having the day off school.

I just had a look on google maps & there are a few servo's around Dohles Rocks road or Narangba rd, but don't know what the coffee would be like. Or there was a bakery at the Castle Hill shops on (I think) Dohles Rocks road. MMM hot pie n coffee for breaky.

I'd say somewhere along Anzac Avenue thru Kallangur, otherwise duck up to the Northbound BP then do a u-turn over Buchanan's Road and head back - they will have coffee etc in the canteen at the track

Turning off the Bruce at Anzac Avenue, head east to North Lakes and after the 2nd set of lights is a BP with coffee shop. After that you can head west on Anzac Avenue through Kallangur and turn right at the water tower and follow Narangba road. easy.
Can't wait.
