Yes, they have them at Lakeside. Bring some masking tape to secure to the driver's door. Not required on the pax side.

5. Briefing will be at 0830 sharp. Do not be late. No brief – no run.

Leave home around 6.30am, coffee at the BP Southbound as such a long trip for me of 37km!! I think to save time I will attach the numbers the day before to save time

Roger, my prep's done.......
New Enkeis with R888's fitted up, just need to take the inner plastic guards out, or more correctly one bolt as there is the slightest rub as I go through one of my test corners for the front tyres at full compression.

Number is easy, 2 seconds to fit as I had magnetic numbers made up when I was using my ZG Fairlane at hillclimbs and regularity at the HRCC meetings at QR.

I might even give it a wash on the sunday before if the weather is OK.

Wash, polish & de-tar for me - numbers have to be taped on mine 'cause I go so bl**dy fast!! No, getting old now and losing a bit of their stickiness!!

Sounds good Matt and hoping to break the 50!!

I'm about to go to the bank to pay, and I'm wondering do I just pay the $155 track fee today, and then pay the license fee & transponder hire on the day?

Correct, only pay the entry fee to the club. The rest is done at Lakeside and paid to QR. Make sure you get a printed copy of your CTP insurance extension to bring with you as well.

Excellent Andrew!! Soon as the office opens at Lakeside the licence will take no time at all, nor will the transponder - all good and looking forward to catching up finally!

On a serious note what do i need like helmet, racing gloves? stuff like that.

Do you know how much track 3rd party insurance would be roughly?

I really wanna take it out to track it just sits in my garage being polished.

All the information is on the club website and in this thread.

Roll bars are encouraged and this year in an open cockpit car you will need a full face helmet. As always we would strongly encourage suitable track attire appropriate to scooting around the track at the speeds we do, but the minimum standard is still the full neck to wrist cotton shirt. Full leg trousers (no shorts) and enclosed shoes.

....and then read all of this page and then all of this page.
